Short description
Double Skunk is a cribbage roguelite. Underneath it's real cribbage, played by the book. Between hands players build with powerups that change what the count pays and one-shot cards that break the rules once. Players climb the Long Tally campaign past 21 painted, voiced rivals and find out what's beyond the summit. A weekly challenge puts everyone on the same deal, and friends can play online. Full description
Double Skunk is a cribbage roguelite from Kerrberry Games. Underneath, it's the real game played by the book. Between hands players build with 57 powerups that change what the count pays, and when one pays off big, its animal walks onto the table and acts it out.
There are 26 consumables, one-shot cards that break the rules once. When a player uses one, Skip and Skat, the skunk duo, climb onto the table and do it for them. Pegs bring a rule to the whole run.
The campaign is called the Long Tally. Players climb the cribbage mountain past 21 painted, voiced rivals, and the higher rungs bring house rules like a chess clock and muggins, where points a player misses in their own count go to the rival. Losing never ends the climb, since a player can hold their spot and replay the same rival, or slide back a rung. Past the summit is the Beyond, where every match is a game of duplicate cribbage, which plays every hand twice, once from each side, and a heat meter climbs as the match goes on.
Each week brings a challenge where everyone plays the same deal as duplicate cribbage, with fixed builds and an Expert rival. A leaderboard ranks each player's margin over the rival, and five house scores give every board a par. Any of the ten challenges can be practiced anytime. Online, players can invite a friend through Steam or find a match with Quick Match. There's a ranked season leaderboard, a way back into a match after a crash and a hat tip. Offline, the AI plays from Easy to Expert under house rules the player chooses, including best-of, duplicate, muggins, reverse and Pure Cribbage.
The Coach teaches cribbage to new players in a two-hand warm-up. Every match ends with a hand-by-hand review against the book, and a big win slams DOUBLE SKUNKED across the rival's portrait. The game comes in six languages with full voice acting. A free demo is out now, and Early Access starts November 4, 2026 on Steam for $9.99 USD.

About the developer
Kerrberry Games is a one-person studio and the games brand of Kerrberry Systems LLC, which publishes Double Skunk. Double Skunk starts Early Access on Steam on November 4, 2026, and a free demo is out now. Press and creators can reach the studio through the contact details on this page. The developer's full statement on AI in the game is the AI disclosure on this page.
AI disclosure
The developer's AI disclosure, in full.
Double Skunk is developed by one person with AI tools used across production, and all of it is pre-generated and baked into the build. The character portraits, powerup and card art, and other illustration were generated with image models and then selected, cropped, keyed and composited by hand. The short animated scenes, where the game's characters act out a card or a big hand, were generated with a video model from that art and then keyed, trimmed and checked one by one. The music, sound effects and spoken voice lines were generated with audio and text-to-speech models, auditioned, and edited into the game's audio pipeline. Some in-game flavor text (rival dialogue, tutorial lines, item descriptions) was drafted with a language model and edited by the developer. Source code was written with an AI coding assistant under the developer's direction and review. The game itself contains no AI model and makes no calls to any AI service. No content is generated during play, and nothing a player does is sent to an AI system.
